The Kiss is an oil painting, with added silver and gold leaf by Gustav Klimt, and was painted circa 1908 during the height of Klimt's "Golden Period". It is influenced by the contemporary Art Nouveau style and the organic forms of the earlier Arts and Crafts movement.

Gloss or Matte Finish?

It's up to you - both are beautiful finishes. The glossy finish creates more vibrant, lively-looking colours whereas a matte finish looks more delicate. Wood textures, vintage designs, delicate flowers look best on matte cases. Marbled, abstract and mosaic patterns are preferred on gloss. A matte finish might feel slightly less slippery than gloss. Both will feel great in your hand!
